Future Cinema On the 4th of October 2006, at the Battersea Arts Centre, Future Cinema will present
a unique combination of film, theatre and music that will be part of the BAC’s Festival of Imagination.

Inspired by this theme we are celebrating James Holman, the Victorian ‘Blind Traveller’, author and social observer, who tries to recall an encounter with an elephant, and is surprised to find himself being reminded of his adventures as he remembers this large, unusual animal. We will be telling James
Holman’s story through a fusion of cinema, performance and sound.

This event will feature a collection of over 150 Future Shorts films from all over the world, showcasing international cinema and emerging talent in all genres promising to challenge, inspire and above all, entertain. The Dream of Elephants event will not only feature short films, but also a myriad of performers and fantastic live music from various bands, including Cellorythmics and Darryn Harkness.
